Fan Experience & Events Assistant (Part-time)

THE ROLE: This is a part-time position within the Atlanta Hawks Fan Experience department. The Hawks are looking for a candidate to support the team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, handling administrative documents, overseeing the maintenance of storage units and vehicle fleet, and prepping for and executing activations at Atlanta Hawks home games and out of arena events.
The right candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously, and have a willingness to learn and grow within the Fan Experience and Events department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organize and track documents such as event recap reports, event collateral, and data collection
• Assist with the organization and maintenance of storage units (in arena and out of arena units), including loading in and out for events/games, running weekly inventory checks/cleanings.
• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of fleet vehicles, including weekly interior and exterior cleanings and fueling
• Prep and breakdown meeting space and activation areas for Hawks home games, including the load in/out of prizes and fan engagement elements
• Prep and breakdown activation areas for all off-site Fan Ex Events including the load in/out of engagement elements, mobile activation unit(s) and brand signage.
• Serve as a brand representative and act as a liaison for internal and external clients at events
• Support the execution of (12-15) Atlanta Hawks School Assembly program shows
• Actively participate in brainstorming and assessing event activations and game elements
• Drive company vehicles to and from select Hawks events, including an 18 ft. box truck
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Work or internship experience in communications, advertising, event management/production or marketing industries
• Detail-oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within tight deadlines
• Punctual, professional and mature demeanor a must
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
