Part Time Unpaid Internship
Seeking an entrepreneurial intern well versed in marketing, content creation, outreach, and social media with an interest in the film/TV and publishing industries. This virtual internship will focus on the marketing and social media components in the publishing and entertainment businesses for Dr. Kenneth Atchity's several Story Merchant companies: Story Merchant (including Story Merchant Books), AtchityProductions, and The Writer's Lifeline, Inc. Looking for a candidate who has an eye towards building a sustainable business based on their talents.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-help grow awareness of our companies on social media for multiple accounts (Story Merchant and Atchity Productions) by creating content, coming up with an ongoing social media plan, and growing our platforms organically
-help create a promotional content plan on social media to drive new coaching clients for our Writerslifeline company that specializes in services to help writers with their scripts and manuscripts. If intern has experience creating ads on social media with a proven track record that is a MAJOR plus.
-Help grow awareness and lead marketing campaigns around books published by Story Merchant Books.
-creating visually stimulating, professional presentation decks for our film and TV projects
-other marketing tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
-Punctuality, energy, drive, responsibility, and a command of literacy in English are essentials.
Intern must be familiar with WORD, MS Excel, Google sheets, and social networking apps;
-must commit to minimum 8hrs per week and must commit to a minimum of 16 weeks, though longer internships, if for academic credit or career coaching opportunities, are particularly welcome.

Dr. Atchity is a Yale PhD (comparative literature), former Fulbright professor, literary manager and producer of 30+ films, author of numerous books, editor, writing coach, who has worked in the world of commercial storytelling for nearly forty years. He currently has dozens of projects in development with nearly every studio and production company, and is publisher of Story Merchant Books, ''an incubator of new voices,'' which has launched hundreds of books in the past five years.
