Entry Level Freelance Junior Assistant Editor, to work in our promotion department at the exclusive Audience Network on Directv, now part of the AT&T family. Great opportunity to learn and grow as a television production professional.
Must be familiar with:
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut X, Compressor, REDCINE-X PRO (After Effects knowledge is useful)
Job duties including but not limited to:
Versioning out of promo spots. Exporting, compressing and delivering these spots through the Aspera system after proper QC
Compressing and uploading social versions of spots to YouTube and Vimeo
Digitizing shows, movies, docs
Transcoding production footage to proper specs with REDCINE-X Pro. Proper backup of footage to drives
Pulling scene lifts/interstitial/showcases, adding proper end cards and delivering after getting approval through MediaSilo approval system
Misc duties: Authoring DVD's, Managing system, etc
If familiar with After Effects; Updating old title cards for reruns of episodes
Applying these newly updated cards to old spots and redelivering
Building out rating cards/ID's using pre made template
Pulling shots and conforming to proper specs for graphics
PLEASE keep in mind this is a junior assistant editor position and entry level.
Requires two or more years of broadcast network, cable network, trailer house, or ad agency experience (internships included). Must be skilled with both Mac's and PC's utilizing a variety of edit tools and systems, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro and FCPX. A degree in TV/Film production or related field and/or specialized training in editing and editing equipment/systems is preferred.
Candidates must have the proven ability to work independently and creatively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, while producing high quality results and maintaining a professional attitude.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and strong analytical skills. In addition, must be able to work various shifts, overtime and holidays as needed.
