ASPECT, an award-winning North Hollywood based Motion Picture Advertising Agency, has an immediate opening for an IT Post Production Technician with a passion for movie trailers to join our team while we are working from home and beyond!
The Post Production Technician position is one that perfectly marries great technical skills with great people skills in a fast-pace, deadline-was-yesterday, super fun and creative environment. You'll get your hands dirty providing technical assistance for the entire company, helping us to achieve great creative work together. Responsibilities range from general server room maintenance, data backup and restores, and troubleshooting the systems that keep our editorial, motion graphics, creative directors, admin, and accounting happy and productive! Since you'll have the opportunity to work alongside all departments, this could also be a valuable stepping stone to other paths in the company. Of course, you might be happy just sticking with the IT team. That's where the cool kids hang out, anyway.
Responsibilities:
• Providing personable, courteous end-user support to our editorial, motion graphics, producer, admin, and accounting departments (Heavy support for Avid MediaComposer, Adobe CC Suite, C4D, Maya, etc.)
• Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our internal motion graphics render farm (Mac-based, Deadline)
• Creating and managing user accounts on local systems, servers, email, Slack, etc.
• Performing software patches and upgrades
• Interface with outside vendors and software/hardware support centers
• Routinely perform scheduled virus scans, data backup integrity tests, data backups and restores
• Take late-night support calls after hours and weekends
Requirements:
• A great communicator with a personable presence
• Technical support experience in a post-production A/V environment
• Working knowledge of Avid MediaComposer (support knowledge a huge plus)
• Working knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (especially AfterEffects), Cinema4D, Maya
• Technical expertise in render farms a plus
• Technical expertise in networking, subnets, firewalls, SAN environments, backup software a huge plus
Must be a dependable self-starter who's able to think on their feet and problem solve, have good phone etiquette, be detail oriented, creative, flexible, level-headed, a team-player, and have a passion for our industry.
Must be able to work long hours, variable shifts and occasional weekend work.
