As ASCAP's Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll be responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment from selection to onboarding. This will include meeting with department heads and ASCAP leadership to assess staffing needs, managing job postings and passive sourcing efforts, screening resumes, conducting and scheduling interviews, initiating background checks, and managing the offer process (including negotiations and approvals).
This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in gaining exposure to an interesting and complex part of the music industry. You'll also get to support a wide variety of areas, including Technology, Digital Products, Strategy & Business Development, Legal, Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Customer Service, and Licensing / Sales.
Responsibilities
• Create, organize, and implement strategic recruitment plans and initiatives
• Develop and implement competitive external and internal sourcing processes
• Handle the full-cycle recruitment process from start to finish – from intake meetings all the way through offer negotiation and approvals
• Collaborate with hiring managers and HR colleagues to write accurate and compelling job descriptions, while keeping important factors (e.g. diversity & inclusion) in mind
• Partner with HR colleagues to ensure holistic hiring decisions are made, considering things such as internal equity, market compensation, and fit from a core values & culture perspective
• Manage projects related to ASCAP's employer brand and our ability to attract, assess, and select top talent
• Track all recruitment stages through JobScore, our ATS (applicant tracking system)
• In partnership with ASCAP technology (and other business) teams, manage relationships with staffing partners for all types of searches – short term assignments, contract-to-hire, and direct hire
• Assign and oversee recruitment-related assignments for other HR team members, providing guidance in the form of mentoring and troubleshooting, as needed
Qualifications
and Requirements
• 3 - 7 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment, with the demonstrated ability to build a strong pipeline of passive and active candidates
• The adaptability and flexibility required to work cross-functionally and influence across the organization at all levels
• Ability to understand and learn specific subject matter (related to ASCAP's business and individual teams) while also maintaining consistent, fair, and effective hiring practices
• A positive and open attitude, excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and high-level of attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within and across teams
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with standard business applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, etc)
• Bachelor's Degree – concentration in a related, foundational field a plus (e.g. human resources administration, psychology, business administration, or organizational development)
