Job Description
Job Overview
A Membership Coordinator in ASCAP's Film & TV Department assists the executives in the Department through a wide range of activities. These activities include interfacing directly with important ASCAP members, handling member inquiries, performing important research activities, assisting in event production and coordinating schedules and assisting the executive staff.
Areas of responsibility
• Respond to composer members who have inquiries about their distributions or other questions about ASCAP
• Coordinate activities within the Department and assist in event production
• Assist Executives in the Department in managing calls, schedules and workflow
• Perform important research on market share and other strategic initiatives
• Represent ASCAP at industry events
Qualifications
and Requirements
• High communication and inter-personal skills
• Very good time management and organizational skills. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and attend events, on occasion, in the evenings and on weekends
• Strong computer skills, competent math ability and deductive reasoning
• Ideally be college educated with a focus in music business
