Artforum seeks an Artguide Administrator. The Artguide Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and relevance of Artguide, a platform used by galleries, museums, and art enthusiasts worldwide.
Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities for upkeep of current version of Artguide.
• Approve new membership requests (daily) – Stakeholders: Galleries and museums who are using Artguide to list their exhibitions online users who are looking for these exhibitions to be current. We have thousands of international participating arts venues.
• Update venue listings in cities across the globe with current gallery and museum shows (daily), includes removing venues that have closed / adding new venues – Stakeholders: Users of Artguide (without updated listings, Artguide loses its utility)
• Manage Artguide inbox (daily) – includes responding to troubleshooting requests and requests for help updating listings – Stakeholders: galleries and museums whose venues are listed in Artguide
• Updating the exhibition opening/closing list and circulating to Artforum staff (weekly) – Stakeholders: Primarily an internal resource for Artforum staff, serves as the weekly guide for gallery openings on Thursday evening
• Deploy outreach campaigns to encourage venues to update their listings (bi-weekly and according to art event calendar) –Stakeholders: Artguide users and participating venues
• Provide analytics (as requested) – Stakeholders: Internal Artforum editorial and digital teams (analytics are the litmus used to guage overall use of the product on a monthly basis)
• Upload print issue advertisers' exhibitions (monthly) – Stakeholders: Artforum ad sales team print advertisers; it's another way that we ensure maximum amplification and service to our advertising clients
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in art history or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong interest in contemporary art and criticism
• Proficiency with requisite software, online publishing, and social media
• Ability to pursue independent workflows and meet deadlines
This position pays $25/Hour
