Manager, Social Media Corporate & Community Strategy
Job Purpose
The Manager, Social Media Corporate & Community Strategy is primarily responsible for developing and executing organic social media strategies that drive business development, brand and revenue. Primary focus will be on Corporate Partnerships, Ticket Sales and Memberships, Events & Entertainment, Executive Profiles and Analytics. This includes analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online.
Primary (Essential) Duties
• Develop a strong, positive, collaborative, thoughtful and productive internal working relationships with the existing social media team (Manager and Coordinator) as well as internal teams that rely on this function for success (Corporate, Community, Advantage Memberships, Group Sales, People & Culture, Executives).
• Build and develop an organizational LinkedIn strategy that reaches and engages intended audiences, resulting in improved and increased awareness in the marketplace delivering more prospects and stronger relationships with corporate and community leaders.
• Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals of identified functions.
• Drive the performance of specific accounts, including creating and posting original text and video content daily and managing posts on identified platforms.
• Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews on key platforms, sharing in a timely manner social listening trends with internal functional leaders.
• Manage our company image in a cohesive way on business platforms to achieve our business development and sales goals.
• Manage and lead a posting calendar around key events and initiatives.
• Remain up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.
• Utilize excellent communication skills and be able to express our company's messages and views creatively, responsibly, and with time sensitivity.
• Track the performance of our social media platforms and various initiatives, creating a monthly analytical report to be shared at leadership meetings, organization wide on occasion, as well as with the social media team to improve performance and identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain a knowledge of organizational calendars, promotions, events, etc. and participate in strategic planning meetings.
• Utilize baseball knowledge to support content & communications team as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
• Demonstrated work experience as a Social Media manager
• Hands on experience in content management
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
• Experience with social media analytics and report generation
• A strong desire for collaboration
• Understanding of traditional and modern storytelling
• Knowledge of the business of sports
• Enthusiasm about idea generation and execution
• Creative thinking and writing skills
• Understanding of sports/entertainment trends
• Knowledge of promoting a brand
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Basic level of baseball knowledge
Experience/Education Requirements
• College degree preferred in relevant field.
• Five or more years of professional experience in the social media field with successful background in leading social media strategies.
• Experience with managing internal and external relationships.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
• Move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work in warmer conditions during summer months
• Depending on event, ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Occasional travel may be required
