An award-winning documentary and commercial company based in Orange County seeks an experienced in-house Project Manager. It is a plus to have a variety of experience in the media, documentary, and advertising/commercial industries, but we are also very open to a qualified candidate in a related industry that requires excellent project management skills. Examples of related industries would include Event Planning, Still Photography Production Coordination or Project Management.
As we are a growing and independent film/video production company, we produce a wide variety of media. This role requires someone who can multi-task and enjoy learning new tasks. We are looking for a professional who is a team player, extremely organized and proactive, provides excellent customer service to clients, is skilled with research, detail oriented, a problem solver, and a great negotiator. The ideal candidate is also financially resourceful, an independent worker and thinker, capable of juggling many tasks and multiple projects at once; someone who is not only a great communicator but loves a challenge.
Responsibilities would include managing the development and production of a wide variety of media products consisting of films, short documentaries, and digital media. The job entails coordinating directly with the client, and many client ''partners'', to make sure all stake holders have input at each critical stage. Beyond the client side - the job entails working closely with our in-house film/media production team and associated team members. Hence, and understanding of how the media production process works is a major asset. Additional responsibilities for film projects include hiring crew, on site scouting, negotiating equipment and rentals, scheduling shoots, budget tracking, organizing crew travel, obtaining releases, and production research. You would be working closely with and reporting directly to the CEO and President of Aperture Films, Ltd. and another in-house production coordinator in the office.
We would only like applicants with 2+ years of production manager/coordinator or project manager experience and possess a positive, can do attitude.
Job Requirements: Must be a California resident as the job is based in the Irvine area. This is NOT a temporary / freelance job - this is a STAFF position and we are ONLY looking for serious candidates who want to grow with the company.
