What We Are Looking For
This position will assist two music and comedy touring marketing agents by supporting the Agency's top tier touring roster. The position requires a communicative and thoughtful individual who can take initiative while learning on the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as an interest in music and/or touring. The ability to multi-task and have a keen attention to detail is crucial.
This position is in the Tour Marketing department and is not intended to be a pathway to the booking department.
Duties and Skills
• Coordinate tour announcements and on sale schedules for music and comedy clients
• Collect and approve marketing materials from local marketers and promoters
• Cross check ticketing links, local pre-sales, and VIP program implementation
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets for artist marketing for all tour dates
• General administrative work including handling phones, managing calendars, and filing/organization
• Dealing with high profile buyers, promoters and managers while understanding the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
Education and Experience
• 1-2 years of professional experience working in the music industry is preferred, internship experience will be considered.
• Experience with Opus or at an agency is a plus
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic + attention to detail
• Resourceful, proactive, reliable, trustworthy, and assertive when necessary
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Proficient with word, excel, outlook, and Google Drive
