Job Description: APA seeks an assistant in its Music Touring department in Beverly Hills, CA.
This position will assist a senior music touring agent in the contemporary and adult contemporary space as well as participate in supporting the Agency's top tier music roster. The position requires a communicative and thoughtful individual who can take initiative while learning on the job.
The candidate will need a strong work ethic and an understanding of how their supporting role can help to grow the Agency's practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as an interest music and/or touring.
The ability to multi-task is essential as the position requires managing calendars, call logs, and bookings, as well as overseeing the execution of deals and invoicing for payments.
Requirements:
1-2 years of professional experience working in the music industry
Experience with Opus or at an agency is a plus
College degree from an accredited University or College
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong work ethic + attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a face-paced and demanding environment
Resourceful, proactive, reliable, trustworthy, and assertive when necessary
Proficient with word, excel, and outlook
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
-Generating deal memos, itineraries, reports
- Keeping track of ticket counts, contracts, deposits
- Invoicing and accounting
- Handling phones, managing calendars
- Dealing with high profile buyers, promoters and managers while understanding the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
