AND Company is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our quickly growing Social team.
The role of the Social Media Manager is to oversee and manage entertainment projects from concept to completion, overseeing the creative and production teams.
They are primarily responsible for the management of innovative and engaging social media campaigns for the client, including assisting with the development of strategy, working with the client and internal team members to build, plan and execute a medium-high volume content calendar, ensuring the development of excellent creative social content, and leading the engagement of audiences on our client's owned channels. The position is also to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, with the highest degree of quality.
You are fluent in social, on top of social trends, and familiar with the intricacies of each platform. You enjoy a nicely organized spreadsheet and to-do list, but you can also come up with creative ideas to engage a social audience (and love seeing your ideas come to life on social). The position is full-time, in house and reports to the Senior Vice President of Entertainment.
Social Media Manager Responsibilities
Planning and executing the content calendar, ensuring that all creative and copy are in line with project strategies, as well as client goals and directives.
Project managing content production and establishing and communicating timelines for deliverables to cross-functional team members.
Acting as the client's point of contact, efficiently and effectively relaying information and creative assets in a timely manner.
Working with the community manager to create engaging responses for the client's social audience according to established voice to surprise and delight and create amplification opportunities for our client.
Overseeing and participating in quality assurance on all outgoing deliverables.
Creating and monitoring schedules to ensure timely, accurate and complete campaign execution.
Monitoring trends within the community and tracking key metrics.
Acting as an additional copywriting resource for creative post copy as necessary.
Involvement in creative concepting as necessary.
Coordinating with Strategists, Managers, Copywriters, Art Directors, and other team members to execute campaign concepts and responsibilities.
Assisting in managing team members, maintaining goals for the short- and long-term.
Staying up-to-date with social platform and digital technology trends and capabilities.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform the duties with consistent professionalism, confidence and excellence. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented and the ability to prioritize with an acute attention to detail is essential. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills necessary:
Proven work experience (3-5 years) as a social media manager for entertainment properties
A strong working knowledge of what is involved in the creation of social media campaigns
Experience launching multiple types of creative on social channels, including knowledge of social specs and types by platform
Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage diverse and creative personalities
Strong familiarity with social platforms
Attention to detail and ability to multitask under deadline
Good judgment -- able to come up with solid solutions and recommendations
Must be able to prioritize and organize workload for self and for other team members
Team player with a positive, can do spirit
College degree preferred
Education and Training
A bachelor's degree is required, plus three-five years related experience in a social, preferably entertainment, production environment (either the client side or agency side). Computer experience necessary includes a basic understanding of common tools and techniques and an advanced understanding of MS Office, G-Suite.
