Principal Duties / Responsibilities:
• Develops the AC's social media strategy including planning, scheduling, posting; helps drive the American Cinematheque's mission, brand, voice and thought leadership across all promotions and posts, with a focus on growing audiences.
• Supports the Programming / Marketing Team with outreach to press & partners as ad hoc research projects (e.g identify people working in certain areas, from film academics to thought leaders in film and theatrical exhibition).
• Stays up to date with social trends and the news, as well as film industry headlines; can execute quickly on creative ideas.
• Consistently problem-solves and improves upon tools to deliver our messaging and branding more effectively to the film community; reports back efficiently to the rest of the team.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience with social-media channel management.
- Exceptional verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
- Fine attention to detail, design, and audience experience.
- Strong computer skills including MS Suite.
- Meticulous Project Management: Deadline driven, and has ability to take a project from conception through completion.
- Strong time management and organizational skills coupled with the ability to work independently.
- Personal integrity and the ability to inspire confidence and trust in your peers.
- Passion for film is a must.
