Full Time Job
Amblin Partners is seeking a Director, Finance and Strategic Planning. This individual will work with senior management and report directly to the company's CFO. This position will work onsite at Amblin in Universal City, CA.
Responsibilities will include and may not be limited to:
o Responsible for maintaining operating plans, financial forecasts and corporate financial model
o Lead deal analysis and valuation of new projects (i.e., greenlight models) in partnership with the Creative, Business Affairs and
senior management teams
o Development of analytic and quantitative tools to enhance and streamline financial strategic decisions
o Assist in creation of the company's annual business plan and ongoing financial reporting to key stakeholders
o Manage and create business communications and presentations for senior management
o Work closely with senior management in the development of long-range strategy and plans
o Help identify, analyze and present businesses opportunities in accordance with the company's long-range strategy
o Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators
o Establish productive relationships with key players across the company
o Liaise with external distributions and co-finance partners on forecasts and reporting
o Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative orientation.
MBA a plus but not required
o Requires 3 to 5 years' experience as an analyst
o Strong analytical and financial skills
o Extensive quantitative and financial modeling experience
o Robust understanding of accounting, Equity and Debt financing structures, DCF analysis and NPV calculations, IRR and other
valuation metrics
o Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and proficient in Word.
o High level of personal integrity and professional ethics
o Excellent communication / presentation skills with all levels of management and employees in the organization
o Previous film industry experience strongly preferred
