The Global Brand Marketing team within Amazon Music is looking for a driven and dynamic Research and Strategy Lead. Brand Marketing team works closely with senior leaders across Amazon, and has a high degree of visibility within the organization. The Research and Strategy Lead will be an essential member of the team with broad analytical and strategic responsibilities. In this role, you will help to drive global brand marketing strategy for Amazon Music by delivering best in class brand measurement, segmentation, and strategic guidance in order to deliver, scale and optimize marketing programs and initiatives internationally. This individual will design and manage robust research plans and consumer insights to answer key business questions and inform marketing, product and go-to-market approaches. You will bring prior experience developing research plans, managing brand trackers/surveys, growing brands, and rationalizing brand portfolios. You will frequently author strategy documents that clearly and persuasively distill complex data points into actionable insights for the Amazon Music team to support international expansion and ensure brand strategy programs and insights are representative of different geographies. The role requires a commitment to goals, proactive examination, and a relentless focus on the customer.

• Drive overall brand marketing strategy for Amazon Music, including creation of goals, approach, positioning, brand management, portfolio planning, creative guidance, and overall communication and engagement strategy
• Bring big ideas to the table, and inspire others to deliver bar-raising, best in class ideas and plans, obtaining buy-in and effectively and efficiently implementing ideas at scale through strategic programs and initiatives
• Create and own goals and performance metrics for Brand Marketing; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Design and manage robust research plans and consumer insights to answer key business questions and inform marketing and product strategies/go-to-market approaches
• Lead foundational brand research to inform brand strategy, communications, and growth plans
• Lead definition of Amazon Music customer segments
• Drive audience development and identify deep, actionable insights into the content preferences, behavior and needs of our customers, globally
• Recommend and conduct qualitative and quantitative research to enable better decision making around product and marketing
• Work across global teams to support international expansion and ensure brand strategy programs and insights are representative of different geographies
• Perform extensive competitive analysis and benchmarking, and identify and report on market trends
• Author business-driving documents that surface key learnings and provide recommendations for our go-forward brand marketing strategy
• Present to senior leadership regularly to update on key metrics and progress to goals
• Bring big ideas to the table, obtain buy-in and effectively and efficiently implement ideas at scale
Qualifications
• 6 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field of study required
• Strong strategic market research experience, conducting foundational brand research, defining and prioritizing customer segments
• Strong marketing campaign measurement and assessment skills
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to c-suite stakeholders
