The Amazon Prime Video team is shaping the future of video entertainment with a mission to delight customers worldwide with the best entertainment content wherever, whenever. To help us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a seasoned Senior International Brand Manager with experience in the creation and execution of successful global marketing campaigns. Partnering with regional business leaders, you will develop and execute successful above-the-line (ATL) campaigns that acquire and engage customers internationally.
This role is situated on a central hub team that develops the Prime Video brand and show-specific marketing strategies, guides media strategy and planning, builds process mechanisms and structure for scaling and influences content development across multiple marketing channels. You will be responsible for partnering with the cross-functional global and regional teams across studio, owned and operated channels, consumer research, organic and paid marketing to create global campaigns that target customers in key emerging countries and relevantly communicate the benefits of Prime Video service and Amazon Originals. S/he will also be an expert on regional consumer behavior, including where and when they interact with our Prime Video platform and consume Amazon Originals content while partnering with in-country teams in key locales to effectively adapt global campaigns to match consumer perceptions and behaviors. S/he will work with global teams and external creative/media agencies to develop or adapt marketing campaigns and test localized marketing messages and creative assets. This leader will drive and own the key inputs (e.g., ATL media spend and media mix) and outputs (e.g., awareness, consideration and customer acquisition).
The ideal candidate will have managed international brand marketing campaigns and media budgets (preferably in the entertainment space) and driven growth in a nascent but scaling business. S/he will have worked with 3rd party media planning and buying agencies and developed a track record of setting goals and measuring incremental customer behavior (including acquisition and awareness) through multichannel marketing campaigns. The right candidate will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Amazon, including regional business leads, content acquisition, product development, and digital/social media teams. S/he will be willing to experiment and take risks to reach new customers, drive awareness of Prime Video/Amazon Originals and help install the operational infrastructure to rapidly test, learn, adapt and scale campaigns efficiently. This person must have strong written and verbal communications skills, the ability to influence others, a passion for marketing, demonstrated success working with international constituents and strong cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide creative and thought leadership for the Prime Video service and Amazon Originals internationally.
- Grow unaided Prime Video brand awareness, consideration, content consumption and streaming behavior.
• Drive marketing excellence globally through establishment of best practices and innovation across all ATL channels with a consumer-centric approach.
• Provide strategic guidance on the allocation of multi-million dollar ATL media budget across campaigns and channels, and develop mass advertising media plans across TV, OOH, Social, Digital, Online video, and mobile.
• Collaborate with cross functional marketing teams to ensure regional needs are met throughout the planning process for Amazon Original
• Work with Amazon teams, creative agencies, and other partners to find fast and efficient ways to build, execute and measure agile media plans that can scale globally.
• Own understanding of local market target audiences and use this insight to maximize global campaigns in local marketplaces.
• Partner with the regional business and marketing leads to help influence and shape overall Prime Video strategy and execution.
• Work closely with campaign management to be sure marketing campaign development is staying on strategy, on time and within budget.
• Partner with local teams to deliver increases in unaided brand awareness and drive increased first streams efficiently.
• Be a key leader in post mortem analysis of what worked and what didn't in Prime Video marketing campaigns at a local level, and constantly improve the performance of the marketing campaigns in the key regions you own.
• Quickly innovate and implement test and learn strategies throughout the business. Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and implement ongoing improvements.
• Measure end to end campaign performance and improve measurement programs to align with Prime Video KPIs.
• Identify, recruit and hire high performing marketing professionals to support Regional marketing campaigns.
• Build mechanisms to streamline local creative and media campaign development processes to support scaling.
• Work with consumer research teams to identify and leverage local consumer insights and latest category trends in marketing plans.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years of marketing experience
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Consumer marketing experience
• Experience developing and executing domestic and country specific marketing plans in international marketplaces
• Experience managing brand marketing budgets
• Knowledge of international marketplaces and media channels
• Experience influencing key stakeholders within a matrixed org structure
