Job summary
We are looking for a Motion Designer to play an important role on our Brand Design team in shaping the future of music and podcasts – to bring the Amazon Music brand to life for our customers. Our ideal candidate has the ability to delight customers with their innovative and engaging motion design concepts and execution. The candidate does this by tapping into customers' passions, emotions, and cultural connections with music. Our ideal candidate also knows how to work with and learn from other art directors, designers, and content creators, as well as Marketers, Product Managers, and even Engineers – while always steadfastly advocating for customers (music fans) and the Amazon Music brand.
Key job responsibilities
• Create a vision for bringing the Amazon Music brand to life using motion and storytelling.
• Execute motion design deliverables, translating project briefs and balancing against brand book and creative style guides.
• Produce a high volume of assets that can be used across mediums - social, display ads, events/experiential venues, and OOH.
• Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and libraries.
• Edit provided footage and material, while raising the bar on the final outputs - making found footage or images better though applying the Amazon Music brand elements.
• Work strategically with other design leaders and team members across the organization.
• 3D software experience is a huge plus.
• Experience and working knowledge of video and animation, including but not limited to Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.
A day in the life
The right candidate will be involved in projects from concept through delivery, spanning creative thinking and brainstorming, pitching, concept sketching, creating templates for best practices, submitting final deliverables and taking a leadership role in our design community. To succeed you'll need to be able to ideate on motion concepts, execute those concepts, and iterate in collaboration with your really talented peers and business partners.
