Amazon Studios is seeking a Head of Studio Digital Asset Management. This role is responsible for the development, oversight and management of the studio's digital asset management strategy. This strategy will support the use of a diverse matrix of digital assets within today's workflows, but will also shape the long-term infrastructure for tomorrow's digital asset needs. Successful management of this strategy requires this role to identify, implement and support systems and processes covering another diverse matrix of digital asset workflows. This role must also be able to connect with a range of business units, determining each business' unique need; allowing areas of customized support to be supported while also influencing the adoption of enterprise solutions where they make sense.
As part of the digital asset management strategy, the Head of Studio Digital Asset Management will also develop the studio's digital asset retention program. This program addresses the most cost-effective methods for storing digital assets in today's infrastructure and also identifies key digital assets to support tomorrow's content sales and distribution needs.
This position will recognize the necessity of accurate digital asset cataloging and metadata standards programs, making efficient use of company master data, cataloging captured during workflow in conjunction with tailored cataloging programs that ensure digital asset metadata that ensures proper storage and efficient search and retrieval of assets. Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing budgets to launch and support related digital asset management initiatives.
The Head of Studio Digital Asset Management role is responsible for all digital asset types, covering a wide range of business domains with an equally wide range of business functions from Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production, Visual Effects, Marketing and Distribution. This role not only supports the needs of the domestic businesses, but must also develops programs supporting the complex versioning of digital assets for worldwide support.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• 7 years of experience delivering cross functional projects
• 7 years of experience in program or project management
• 7 years of experience managing teams
• 7 years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• Establish a digital asset management strategy; communicating and validating this strategy to appropriate stakeholders, successfully implementing this strategy and monitoring its progress across all business lines
• Establish a ''digital asset lifecycle''; mapping and identifying key digital asset stages from raw asset, work in progress asset, final asset to archive asset as a key component of efficient digital asset management workflows and applications use
• Identify and implement both digital asset management efficiencies within business units and opportunities for shared services across business units, which optimize workflows and applications in an effort to maximize cost savings
• Identify new lines of businesses for digital asset management programs and successfully incorporates these businesses into the appropriate programs
• Establish a digital asset cataloging and metadata standards strategy; communicating and validating this strategy to appropriate stakeholders, successfully implementing this strategy and monitoring its progress across all business lines
• Develop support teams, user guides and training programs to provide user application support that ensures a large user community is able to use digital asset management tools efficiently, minimizing any potential loss of productivity from user inexperience, user error, or any other user issue that may prevent them from working with digital assets in the enterprise
• Establish digital asset management storage and retention programs that store the appropriate digital assets at the appropriate times supporting not only the needs of the business today, but anticipating the future needs of the business by enabling future programming and future sales
• Establish digital asset management strategies that enable the effective monetization of content, understanding the requirements of Sales, Business Development and Marketing groups
• Define and drive our Master Data Management strategy
• Establish and maintain budgets
