Imagine being a part of an agile team where your ideas have the potential to reach millions. Picture working on cutting-edge consumer-facing products, where every single team member is a critical voice in the decision-making process. Envision being able to leverage the resources of a Fortune 500 company within the atmosphere of a start-up. Welcome to Amazon Music, where ideas are born and come to life as Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Music, and so much more.
The Amazon Music for Artists team operates at the intersection of artists and their fans. We are a start-up team that is heavily focused on innovation, and with our growth we are seeking a visionary to lead a team focused on the next generation of products that serve artists. This is an opportunity to help define the future of streaming, and Amazon Music's place in it.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of launching new businesses in the music industry. You are able to partner with product teams to define customer experience, marketing teams to drive artist and fan adoption of your products, and Finance to build P&Ls. You will be able to distill a bold vision for the future into a simple set of features we can launch iteratively and experimentally, and you know how to build support for their vision while taking input from other creative contributors. Experience working directly with artists and their teams is a plus, as is experience in the live events industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define business and product strategies that enable artists to drive engagement with their fans through Amazon Music.
• Lead our livestreaming team, partnering closely with Twitch, Amazon Live, and Prime Video to define the future of how artists can livestream through Amazon.
• Secure and manage relationships with external industry partners, inclusive of record labels, artist managers, concert promoters and venues, and technology companies.
Qualifications
• 15 years overall business experience with 5 to 7 years of relevant senior level experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
• Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving and project management skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience presenting metrics and goal progress to stakeholders
• Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities with small and large partners
