Job summary
Amazon Prime Video is looking for a Film Awards Manager to manage awards campaigns for our Amazon Original Movies . The goal of this position is to strategically plan, develop and execute awards activities across our film slate to effectively, efficiently and creatively target the proper audiences.
We are looking for someone who has at least 5-7 years of experience in the awards/PR space, with deep relationships with the film community and the entertainment industry at large. As the Film Awards Manager, you will be responsible for creating and producing multiple forms of awards tactical, PR and promotional activities, as well as implementing activities to deepen engagement with voting bodies, including industry associations, guilds, and critics groups. You will also work closely with a wide range of teams across marketing, PR, creative, and Amazon as a whole.
We are looking for a candidate who offers a unique blend of media, PR, industry relationships and creative instincts, with the ability to develop and articulate our unique value proposition and build trust with industry leaders and customers.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
• Managing activities against our awards efforts, including but not limited to panels, screenings, events, activations, and promotions.
• Implementing innovative strategies to gain significant and valid recognition in the industry and general consumers.
• Working effectively with a wide range of talent, producers, creators, trade press, publicists, agents, managers, media outlets and industry influencers.
• Working effectively across a wide range of internal teams to gain alignment on implementation and tactical execution of Awards initiatives.
• Managing relationships with key external partners and stakeholders including AMPAS, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Critics Choice, trade/craft guilds and other relevant associations and voting bodies.
• Bringing big ideas to the table, obtaining buy-in, and effectively implementing ideas at scale.
Qualifications
• 10 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• 5 years of experience directly managing others
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
• Experience directly managing teams
• Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
• 5-7 years of experience in entertainment, PR, and marketing in the film industry
• Thorough understanding of the entertainment industry and the use of marketing, media, PR and promotional activities that effectively engage customers and build meaningful relationships.
• Detailed knowledge and familiarity with the rules and regulations for major awards competitions
• Bachelor's degree
