Full Time Job
Amazon Studios & Prime Video is seeking a creative, talented and passionate Creative Director to lead in the creation of stunning and effective marketing to engage appropriate audiences and motivate them to consider and vote for our Amazon Original movies, as well as other key awards that will help garner validation and recognition for the efforts of our Amazon Studios/Prime Video team.
The ideal candidate will combine expertise & innovative inspiration with the ability to create thoughtful, groundbreaking, inspirational materials that will connect with film industry voters across all channels (Print, Digital and A/V and screener packaging). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding the nuanced requirements for crafting successful film award campaigns for various voting bodies including AMPAS, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Film Independent, IDA, trade/craft guilds and other relevant associations that are important to achieving award success goals.
Creative Thinking
• Lead in ideation and development of innovative, effective, and ground-breaking 360° marketing campaigns for awards that amplify the critical acclaim and accolades for films in distribution.
• Understanding of various rules and regulations for marketing to various voting bodies as determined by the Association or Guild.
• Articulate and pitch creative concepts to peers, senior management, Executive Producers and talent.
• Think across platforms, mastering the idiosyncrasies of each and create tailored content across channels that help drive marketing objectives.
• Work with both external and internal teams to develop long-lead and short-lead creative assets that live across all types of media, including print, digital, social, events and experiential.
Creative Execution
• Elevate the creative output of any internal partner or agency vendor to ensure that all marketing assets meet a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association.
• Think across platforms, mastering the idiosyncrasies of each and create tailored content across channels that help drive marketing objectives.
• Forecast resourcing needs and work with key stakeholders to drive a schedule for projects while prioritizing and using resources effectively
• Communicate with key stakeholders internally (Awards/Movies/series teams, Amazon Studios development and PV organization) and externally (partner agencies and vendors) in a spirit of collaboration, building strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating and collaborating effectively, articulating complex issues/problems in an effective manner.
• Use programs such as Adobe CS and Microsoft Office to create artifacts such as creative briefs, presentation decks, sketches, and comps to communicate concepts and bring ideas to life.
• Allocate, manage and track budgets for creative asset development in collaboration with campaign management.
• Build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and functions to achieve high-level outcomes, with lower costs
• Work with cross functional leaders to ensure cohesion of process and brand across internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively work to solve problems and communicate to senior management, and actively seek clarification when there is ambiguity
Leadership
• Communicate with key stakeholders internally (Awards, Movies teams, Studios and PV organization, Amazon) and externally (partner agencies, vendors and consultants) in a spirit of collaboration, building strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating and collaborating effectively, articulating complex issues/problems in an effective manner
• Work with senior leadership to create policies and procedures and best practices that impact the broader department.
• Extensive experience in social, digital and transmedia

Qualifications
• 5 years of creative services experience
• Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
• Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
• Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders
• Experience working with digital asset management tools
• Bachelor's Degree
Basic Qualifications
• 7 years of creative marketing and design experience that encompasses digital, interactive, marketing, and brand design
• Prior experience in crafting smart and effective materials (print, A/V, digital, screeners) targeted to Film Award Voters for awards success.
• A strong portfolio of work showing creative invention and innovation with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas in print, outdoor, AV, social, digital, transmedia, events and experiential that can effectively market.
• Deep knowledge of storytelling, design and associated tools and principals, as well as working knowledge of those elements important to an awards campaign (i.e. important critics, festivals, touts)
• Excellent presentation skills and interactive story telling ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Film Industry Experience
• Strong creative and project management skills
• Ability to manage creative agencies, inspire great creative and problem solve.
• Ability to track budgets on creative projects and negotiate estimates.
