Job summary
The successful candidate will be a succinct, engaging writer with an elevated voice and the ability to write for different audiences while thinking critically about what will appeal to each. They must be a skilled multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects while refining process, meeting deadlines, and dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. The candidate will also need to quickly learn from feedback and apply the knowledge gained to future work. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment, and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams. Obsession with our end-customer is a must, as well as an interest in music.
Key job responsibilities
• Bring the Amazon Music brand to life through engaging storytelling and clear messaging
• Develop copy to support new product features, promotions, business initiatives, events, etc.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Editorial, and Design on end-to-end creative production for on- and off-site assets (from initial development to final QA)
• Make informed copy decisions based on market/competitor research and internal data
• Nimbly pivot on tone per the target audience, project, or marketing channel
• Enforce and refine copy style guides and messaging frameworks
• Stay up to date on corporate guidelines and placements that impact the work
• Create scalable processes that elevate the strategic impact of language and writing

The Brand Design Team is looking for a talented and passionate Copywriter and music enthusiast to play a vital role in crafting customer-facing communications (for a dual audience of artists and fans) and working in close collaboration with artists and podcasters as well as artist and label teams, content creators, brand partners, and editorial voices.
