The Amazon Video team is seeking a digital content licensing manager within the Digital Video Store. This individual will play a critical role in the growth of the Amazon Digital Video Store, including leading licensing negotiations with major movie and TV studios for output deals.
Key responsibilities include:
• Negotiating directly with studios, networks, and independent production companies for a wide range of terms and content rights
• Developing and documenting a content acquisition strategy with a focus on selection
• Analyzing performance results and industry trends to drive improvements in acquisition strategy
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• 7 years of experienced in a high volume account management, licensing, business development, or finance role.
• Proven ability to analyze complex license agreements in high stakes environments
• A track record of excellence in a similar role
• Excellent written communication and organizational skills
• Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills
• Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
• Proven negotiation experience (end to end strategy development to execution)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Content licensing and/or business development experience, preferably within the entertainment industry
• Knowledge of digital video landscape, including working understanding of digital video distribution technologies
• Strong interest and knowledge in film and tv industry (entertainment broadly speaking)
• MBA a plus
• Experience with data mining tools (SQL) a plus
