Job summary
IMDb TV is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. Our mission is to build earth's most customer-centric ad supported premium free video service and make it trivially easy for customers to enjoy. To help us achieve this vision, we are looking for a highly detail oriented Digital Asset Manager to join the team to manage the coordination and organization of photography and video assets for IMDb TV.
Working closely with Campaign Managers, Launch Managers, Creatives, external agencies, and partner studios – you will be immersed into the day-to-day operations ensuring all show and brand assets get prepped, managed, and posted properly. You will help develop effective strategies for secure, efficient sharing and frictionless delivery. You will maintain the metadata model and taxonomy leveraged across Original Series helping to maintain standardization across IMDb TV and Prime Video.
As a champion for our customers, you will help to improve our systems, workflows, and user experience. Supporting teams across Los Angeles, Seattle, and Costa Rica, you will play a central role in defining the strategies for scaling asset delivery to all partners.
Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for day-to-day operations related to IMDb TV asset management - from studio communications and acquisition to file naming, categorizing, and archiving
• Works closely with creative and campaign managers to ensure asset management requirements are in place before campaign development begins
• On-boards external creative agencies to properly name files and deliver all creative assets
• Manages access & permissions for creative collaboration and work in progress (WIP) assets
• Receives and QCs all final assets ensuring each asset is built to specifications, branding is correct, and file-names & metadata are correct
• Manages the ingest and curation of final assets into various DAM/MAM systems
• Manages asset availability, delivery, and usage, and related customer communications
• Maintains standardization and nomenclature for the classification of assets for all marketing tools
• Maintains metadata model, and contribute to metadata creation and remediation as needed
• Coordinates with PV Asset Managers to ensure alignment and continuity across the organization
• Creates and manages asset creation reports, and communicates progress to project teams and stakeholders
• Downloads creative materials from external and partner portals; sends requests and creative approvals to and from studio partners when applicable
• Manages creative delivery and acts as the gatekeeper for high quality creative
A day in the life
As IMDb Asset Manager you will play the primary Asset Management role in support of IMDb TV. You'll orchestrate day-to-day asset management operations and manage digital asset lifecycles from intake to delivery. You'll continuously refine workflows to power the business, and seek out efficiencies and opportunities to automate complex processes for a growing slate of content. You'll provide thought leadership about best-practices and emerging standards and ensure that IMDb TV processes are well-supported, efficiently managed, and clearly documented. As an operational expert you'll onboard new titles, track progress, troubleshoot issues, and deliver results. You'll lean into new challenges, and be an important voice as we raise the bar for digital asset management and delivery.
About the team
The Prime Video Marketing Asset Management team is responsible for processes, tools, and services to support global management and delivery of assets. As a growing center of excellence, we define and deploy workflow processes & tools related to taxonomy & metadata management, work-in-progress creative review, unit-capture processes & review, archiving of final assets, quality control, and partnership with remote teams on delivery of marketing assets to both internal and external constituents. We strive to deepen the impact of PV content, and delight our customers around the globe.
Qualifications
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders
• Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
• 3 years of creative services experience
• Undergraduate degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Media Production, (or equivalent experience in DAM/MAM operations or admin role)
• Working knowledge of metadata creation, management & remediation best practices
• Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.)
