Prime Video is seeking a talented Senior Social Media Manager to develop, create and execute innovative social media campaigns and drive a best-in-class customer experience. We are seeking an experienced and creative leader to build year-round fan engagement strategies and programs for our brand. The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering results on global social campaigns, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize, plus possess a drive for testing, learning and making insight- and data-driven decisions.
The Senior Social Media Manager will develop and launch global social content that impacts millions of customers worldwide. They will work across internal teams including brand, creative, synergy, partnerships, development, legal, PR, research, events and international, as well as partner with external social strategy and creative agencies. This person will work with key social media and digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube, as well as seek out and develop new and emerging platforms that can help grow our customer base and brand.
Success in this role requires excellent project management skills, an aptitude for developing insights-driven social content, defining customer-centric campaign goals, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content and a passion for continuous improvement. As a leader for your discipline within a larger cross-functional project team, the candidate will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction and exhibit a bar-raising level of ownership and drive. Overall, this person will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas and establish best practices for Prime Video. This individual will be based in Santa Monica, California.
Core Responsibilities:
• Develop, launch and analyze social strategies and content for Prime Video to drive customer engagement and brand equity
• Work closely and collaboratively across brand, creative, paid social, PR and synergy teams to champion social-first ideas and execute global integrated activations, events and strategies
• Partner with paid social team to develop fully integrated social campaigns
• Lead efforts to garner rich customer insights that help inform future social strategies; socialize to present potential opportunities for development beyond the space to other teams
• Oversee creative ideation and development to deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns for customers
• Manage agencies and day-to-day campaign flow including creative output and social listening
• Foster global social conversation and leverage to build vibrant communities
• Partner with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations
• Develop and own goals and performance metrics for campaigns; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Build relationships with talent and showrunners, including educating and advising on social media approach
• Present plans to senior leadership regularly, as well as updates on key metrics and progress to goals
• Continuously ideate and innovate within the social space
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 years of experience in social media marketing, working on fast-paced campaigns with quick content turn-around
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners/talent, including day-to-day management of campaign milestones and agency deliverables
• Advanced decision-making skills with proven ability to lead, influence, align and inspire teams
• Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
• Strong understanding of global marketing principles and customer engagement tactics
• Solid knowledge of TV/entertainment content, and a true fan
• Exemplary project management skills, with strong ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean and demanding work environment
• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
• Extreme attention to detail with relentlessly high standards
• Demonstrated bias for action and willingness to roll up sleeves to get work done, even when outside the scope of the job
• Operates with significant autonomy
• Exceptional verbal and written skills
• Bachelor's degree
