Protective Services' Amazon Entertainment Security (AES) is responsible for the safety and security of Amazon Studios, Amazon Prime Video, IMDb and Amazon Music. AES has an opening for an Entertainment Security Threat Management & Investigations manager in Santa Monica, CA.
This role will:
• Support Amazon Studios filming initiatives for both movies and original programming
• Support IMDb, Amazon Music, and other entertainment focused business units at Amazon
• Provide onsite support to filming teams around the globe through filming and production cycles
• Create custom solutions in tandem with industry standards
• Work in coordination with Amazon Studios Content Security to drive the integration of production security and content security protocols and in-transit security protocols within a specialized supply chain
• Implement audit processes for third-party vendors to ensure compliance with Content Security requirements
• Support the AES team during events such as premiers, after-parties, talent movements, award shows, and other events as needed
• Provide analytical threat management support on an as-needed basis for Amazon Studios and it's production companies
• Conduct investigations on as as-needed basis, in support of AES and Content Security and other business areas upon request
• Assist with the creation and implementation of a development planning process through structured education and mentoring
• Work closely with senior level production partners internally and be a representative for security guidance during production meetings
• Provide support and assistance to other teams within Protective Services, and other business units, on an as-needed or requested basis
The ideal candidate will have an experienced background in vendor management, film and set security, investigations, investigative interviewing, crisis management, security surveys, risk assessments, auditing, program development and enhancement, threat assessment, development planning, training, supply chain processes and security and an ability to raise the bar and think big on day 1.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage global security details and vendors
• Audit and coordinate on-set security
• Audit and coordinate event security
• Evaluate security budgets to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings and maximization of return on investment
• Evaluate security processes and programs to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiencies, cost savings and maximization of return on investment
• Manage, create and implement security policy, procedures and processes related to AES efforts
• Provide guidance on asset security and transportation in line with Content Security team
• Perform, plan and manage asset security details as requested by Information Security and Content teams
• Audit and coordinate movements of assets within the specialized supply chain for Amazon Studios
• Evaluate safety protocols and escalate on-set safety related concerns to Safety
• Travel (this role will require heavy travel until the program is up and running; and will require at least 45% travel)
• Traveler safety awareness, planning and briefing
• On-set incident management and escalation
• Investigations and investigative interviewing
• Threat assessment and management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Management experience in large scale security operations globally
• Management experience in conducting Requests for Information and Pricing (RFI / RFP) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development
• Strong Project Management experience
• Experience planning, managing and working international security details
• Previous experiences working in a management role on film and tv sets
• Strong experience developing policy and implementing security controls
• Knowledge of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, badging, etc.)
• Experience managing budgets and schedules for small to medium sized teams
• Experience planning, managing and conducting close protection details
• Experience planning, managing and conducting event security details
• Experience developing and presenting training courses and materials
• Experience in supply chain and logistics security
• Experience developing and implementing internal marketing and awareness campaigns
• Advanced CPR/First Aid/AED
• Membership within the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP)
• Advanced Threat Assessment Group (TAG) training
• Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing technique certified
• Familiar with industry best practices for the prevention of workplace violence
