The Agency for the Performing Arts, Inc. (''APA''), one of the largest diversified talent agencies in the US, is seeking a Client Trust Account Payment Coordinator to join our Accounting/Finance team.
Responsibilities & Duties
•Client check processing - Process incoming client payments negotiated by APA agents in the various segments of the entertainment industry (on screen talent, writers, directors, below-the-line personnel, branding, commercials and other areas)
•Accounts receivable - Monitoring clients' deals to make sure all payments and APA commission are collected, including generating invoices, as necessary
•Data entry - Input new client information into the accounting system, update client information as necessary, and enter news deals that are negotiated on a daily basis
•Process incoming client checks, prepare payments due clients and other commission participants
•Prepare checks to clients and make electronic bank deposits
•Interact with clients and their representatives to ensure clear, correct communication regarding the status of payments
•General filing as needed
•Other accounting and clerical assistance to the Accounting/Finance department as needed
Qualifications
•Prior work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
•Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook and 10-ke
•Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
•The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with accuracy
•Self-starter who can learn processing systems, assume responsibility and work independently
•Excellent written and oral communication skills required in order to work well with customers and vendors. Strong interpersonal people skills
•Ability to effectively prioritize tasks as needed to accommodate changing department/company needs on a daily basis
•Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion
