Looking for interns who are interested in working for a documentary production company with a special focus in true crime founded by documentary filmmaker Josh Zeman (Netflix's SONS OF SAM, A&E's THE KILLING SEASON, THE LONELIEST WHALE on Hulu). It's a small team based out of NYC and LA, but the work is totally remote. It's unpaid, but you'd receive an IMDb credit for the projects you help with.
Part-time, 2-3 days a week. Ideally, we would like for you to be available on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10 am - 6 pm PST, but we can work around your schedule if need be.
Start: Between January 2-13
End: May/June (flexible end date)
Great organizational skills, ability to compile and analyze research, and familiarity with the true crime genre and documentaries in general are necessary. You'll be looking through a lot of existing archival material and helping us plan out the next steps, organize and transcribe interviews, and stay on top of the development timeline for multiple projects.
The exact work will vary day-to-day, but attention to detail, great organizational skills, and at least some familiarity with the true crime genre/style will be crucial. Some familiarity with video editing software (AVID, Premiere, Final Cut) and Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Spark) is strongly recommended.
