Actors Movement studio Conservatory has exciting internship opportunities available! We are seeking qualified candidates who are available for Spring & Summer semester to work Arts Administration Interns
Actors Movement Studio Conservatory acclaimed acting school in the Heart of the theater district, with over thirty years of training professional actors and conservatory trained actors, specializing in physical theater training.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of running a Theater school Conservatory, rehearsal Studio, theater, dance, and event space.
This internship is best for the student working towards a degree in theatre arts Administration, education and or production or management, business, arts administration or non-profit management. While supervision and direction is readily available, interns will be expected to be self-starters and able to work independently.
Job Description: The Administrative and Education Interns will assist the Artistic Director with day-to-day operations and general office management, scheduling of rehearsal studio use, performances, and educational programming. Responsibilities will be shared between a few interns and based on existing and desired skill sets.
The Interns will assist the Directors with scheduling of volunteers, marketing, website maintenance, and will help with logistical details such as general rehearsal class room maintenance and maintaining front desk coverage.
Interns will gain valuable experience working in a cooperative and creative environment with artists invested in creating innovative work and a veritable playground for actors, teachers and dancers.
Interns will be trained on a variety of operations techniques including employee management, Google Calendars/Documents, prioritizing tasks, and management.
Requirements: To be considered for the positions available, candidates must be dedicated, prompt and should have experience in the performing arts. They should also have completed at least Sophomore Year of College Undergraduate Study or Higher. Qualified candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, HTML and Flash is a strong plus. High comfort level with Google Gmail, Facebook, Google Documents and Calendar.
