who is experienced in costume Design, alterations, sewing and building costumes Summer June 1-June 25 2019
The Actors Movement Conservatory NYC provides opportunities to work and learn in a professional, nurturing and fast-paced environment. Acclaimed acting Conservatory in the Heart of the theater district, with over thirty years of training professional and conservatory trained actors, specializing in Physical Theater Training. FEATURED IN AMERICAN THEATER MAGAZINE JANUARY 2011
AND BACKSTAGE IN MARCH 2011
Home of Summer Physical Theater Intensive Specializing in Period Styles and Physical Dramaturgy and Cross Pedagogical research and practice. Training includes the Cross study and practice, with National and International acclaimed Master Teachers, in both New and Primary movement methods and pedagogies.
COSTUME DESIGN INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Some of the duties the costume intern includes: Period Style costume Research, Fittings, Alterations,
Partial building and pulling costumes from costume Collection mending costumes, accessories and hair for performance, costume designs, maintaining and organizing the costume stock, and other technical or administrative duties while gaining experience in a fast paced production schedule. This internship is helpful for portfolio building and provides exposure to period Style Specialist.
Edwardian Style Performance piece with, approximately
25 Edwardian Style costumes.
The Actors Movement Conservatory & Theater School for 30 years. This is an excellent credit for one's resume.
