Job Summary:
The Academy Museum of Motion pictures is looking for a talented digital media coordinator to create and maintain a strong online presence for our museum. The role is to implement digital marketing strategies through various outlets. The Digital Media Coordinator will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract core visitors and promote the Museum. Goals will be to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research audience preferences and discover current trends
• Develop digital communications calendar
• Create engaging text, image and video content that is distributed through social media and/or email
• Design posts/emails to sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz around new events/exhibits
• Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
• Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms and digital marketing trends ensuring maximum effectiveness
• Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way
• Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
• Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans
• Develop an optimal posting and email schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
• Oversee social media accounts' layout
• Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
Qualifications and Requirements:
• BS degree in Marketing, New Media, or relevant field
• Proven work experience in the digital space
• Expertise in multiple social media platforms
• In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
• Strong knowledge or ability to learn a variety of software programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Premiere, and PowerPoint as well as work with and learn current technology/software.
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
• Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
• Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
• Solid writing skills
• Must be able to multitask while demonstrating strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of humor
