Summary:
The Conference Room Technician is responsible for handling all the AV/Technical concerns before all meetings, coordinating with Facilities and IT Infrastructure to test equipment and the video conference feed, and assisting with AV during meetings. The position will require the capability to handle basic maintenance of equipment, scheduling meetings, and assisting with Board of Governors meetings. Additionally, you will manage staff scheduling of conference rooms on the internal resource scheduling application. Following all guidelines, requirements, and procedures, you will implement improvements as well as demonstrate advanced organizational and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a sense of individual responsibility.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and administer all meetings including Board of Governor (BOG) meetings with Building Operations, Facilities and IT Infrastructure.
• Monitor and operate meeting sound, teleconference feed and presentations for all non-BOG meetings, and assist during BOG meetings.
• Coordinate meeting scheduling in the Board Room with various departments.
• Test teleconference connection with meeting participants, Facilities and IT department.
• Assist with in-room A/V Presentations.
• Assist in planning, facilitating, and executing all non-BOG meetings including collecting all meeting materials and content, and checking materials beforehand.
• Test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with department projects/events as needed.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of related experience in an administrative role with AV/Technical background.
• Working knowledge of audio/visual systems and basic audio mixing.
• Experience and knowledge of web conferencing tools (including Zoom, Skype, and AT Conference).
• Working knowledge of PC hardware components and concepts.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have highly-professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work professionally with other departments and Academy board members.
• Availability to work some nights and weekends as needed on short notice.
• A valid California Driver License.
