ABC Localish Programming Internship (OTVS) - Summer 2020
Job Summary:
ABC Localish develops and produces compelling digital and TV programming that highlights the good happening in cities across America. Good food. Good people. Good living. We tell locally-sourced stories that transcend city limits. We have created a variety of original series for ABC television stations and ABC's national website including ''More in Common,'' ''Secretly Awesome,'' ''Bite Size,'' ''Worth the Wait,'' ''Glam Lab,'' and ''City Cycle.''
Responsibilities:
A day in the life…
In this internship you will support the teams developing original content for ABC Localish's digital and television distribution platforms. This internship provides a hands-on experience organizing and creating compelling videos that reach national audiences. You will collaborate with our teams of producers, videographers, and editors to connect ABC Localish with new viewers and followers across the country.
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Proven understanding of social platforms
• Proficiency in video editing on Adobe Premiere
• A strong interested in unscripted digital content
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to listen and take direction well, as well as be able to follow through independently with a project once assigned.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments by deadline
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in covering phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership.
• Knowledge of current series on ABC Localish and other major digital networks.
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• All students must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
• All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Program Dates
• All candidates must be available from May/June-August/September
• All candidates must be willing to work 20 hours/week
