Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Global Marketing Partnerships, Multicultural will be a key leader and contributor to the Studio Marketing Partnership team and support the VP of Global Marketing Partnerships & Multicultural . Specifically, the role will be responsible for a variety of initiatives including leading and contributing to the development of best-in-class marketing partnership campaigns that drive awareness, box office, subscriptions and engagement among Multicultural audiences. This seasoned marketer would help manage marketing partnerships targeting these specific audiences in close alignment with our Strategy team, Multicultural Audience Engagement Team, Sales team and work cross functionally with TWDC Enterprise DE&I initiatives.
They will bring a strong background in tailoring culturally specific but broad content marketing partnerships, business track record of strategic acumen, and are an innovative and outside-the-box marketer who is interested in ways to differentiate and grow our brand partnerships in the competitive landscape, and in particular with the target audiences. You are highly organized, self-motivated, focused and able to work effectively cross-departmentally to understand key stakeholders and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and negotiate marketing partnerships for theatrical and Disney releases that specifically target Multicultural audiences and prioritize efforts around specific audiences to develop partnerships that will aim to grow awareness, box office, Disney subscriptions, content engagement, or other related metrics.
• Provide thought leadership and perspective on embedding an inclusive and culturally relevant approach to cross company marketing and DE&I initiatives including authentic representation and storytelling.
• Manage relationships with cross-functional marketing teams and multicultural audience engagement team to develop and negotiate partnerships; in particular, coordinate marketing functions, including strategy, digital, publicity, creative content and media to ensure alignment with overall multicultural marketing strategy.
• Identify new audiences and areas of focus for existing identified multicultural audiences and work cross functionally to determine business opportunity and subsequent marketing tactics
• Generate and create processes for standard practices in Multicultural Marketing
• Collaborate with Sales team leads on the creation of the Multicultural Partnership Strategy for theatrical and Disney releases.
• Work with outside partners including agencies, influencers, studios, and DE&I practitioners in collaboration with Studio Marketing
• Additional support as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• A passion for inclusive storytelling, marketing and brand partnerships
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing to specific audience groups, proven history of creating, developing and negotiating marketing partnership campaigns and developing processes and strategies that drive theatrical box office and streaming content success
• Strong listening skills and the ability to authentically reflect the needs of specific audiences
• Ability to think equal parts strategically and creatively and use cultural insights
• Experience managing brand partnership and an eye for creative excellence
• Excellent communication skills and a true cross-functional collaborator
• Skilled in Keynote and Excel
• Superb work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
