Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
The ABC Owned Television Stations division is comprised of eight television stations and the divisional headquarters. The group has television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fresno.
The OTV Financial Planning & Analysis group is responsible for forecasts, annual operating plans, five-year plans, review of all major capital projects and various special projects. The group is also charged with developing presentations to inform senior management regarding the company's financial performance and business trends.
We are flexible with the internship schedule. Candidates may be considered for either a part-time OR full-time Spring 2020 internship.
Responsibilities:
• Support the annual operating and strategic planning processes for OTVS
• Assist with financial performance reporting, forecasts, budget, and long range plan consolidation and analysis
• Assist managers and analysts with ad hoc projects and assignments
• Develop reports to assist the group analyze operating and strategic plans
Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Must be inquisitive and solve problems creatively, with ability to take feedback and direction
• Ideal candidates will have excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills, a proven ability to build relationships, and strong business and financial acumen
• Candidates must be able to interact with all levels of management and be an integral team player
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous internship experience within a related field
• Experience with PowerPoint and/or building presentations
Required Education
• Currently pursuing (or recently graduated within 6 months with) an undergraduate Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business related major
• Minimum GPA 3.0
Preferred Education
• Junior or Senior level student
Additional Information:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Program Dates: Interns must be available for either part-time or full-time hours from January 2020 to June 2020.
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program in California.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
