Job Summary:
ABC News is hiring a Senior Producer for the Talent Training, Strategy & Development team.
Responsibilities:
• Reports to SVP or VP of Talent Development
• This Senior Producer will have field experience with talent as well as senior level daily broadcast experience of script writing, editing and structuring
• Shooting and editing skills required.
• Communicating critical and constructive feedback as a way to improve on-air performance.
• Providing guidance throughout the production process – from pitching stories to making air.
• Shadowing and traveling with new talent to get them prepared and acclimated across all ABC News shows and platforms.
• Responsible for contributing/inputting talent updates into the talent database.
• Administering writing tests and talent auditions to prospective candidates and provide feedback and insights on skill sets.
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 8 years of broadcast journalism experience;
• Mastered running a control room and line producing;
• Strong editorial judgement;
• Experience performing well under pressure - - think breaking news-type situations.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
