Precision Marketing Manager (CRM) (Walt Disney Television)
Job Summary:
Are you interested in changing the future of television? The Precision Marketing team is responsible for innovating and developing the strategies and capabilities to directly address our viewers to build lasting relationships.
Walt Disney Television is seeking a Precision Marketing Manager (CRM expert) to join the Consumer Insights organization. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the email marketing program as well as strategically aligning with other channels such as push, app, web, digital, and social to drive engagement and retention. This is a hands on role requiring understanding and the ability to lead at the day-to-day campaign level, while also driving towards ''big picture'' goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be highly data driven and creative, and know how to apply insights to optimize the consumer experience, and increase content consumption.
Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the email marketing channel for Walt Disney Television's various media networks including strategy, implementation, end-to-end execution, optimization, reporting and analysis.
• Manage and develop the end-to-end consumer lifecycle across email, push, in-app, web, digital activation, and other channels to achieve business targets in partnership with advanced analytics and data integration teams.
• Manage and expand the scope and utilization of the CDP, DMP, and overall martech/adtech stack to activate digital campaigns in coordination with our advanced analytics and data integration teams.
• Build a deep understanding of consumer base to identify core insights and drive effective audience segmentation, targeting, & communications planning.
• Build and refine audience/event-based communication triggers across the consumer journey.
• Activate on digital media plans for the execution of 1:1 personalized consumer communications.
• Drive and measure success against departmental KPIs for acquisition, customer engagement, retention, and personalization initiatives.
• Conduct ongoing A/B testing to optimize and increase the effectiveness of Digital Media marketing programs in coordination with the advanced analytics team.
• Develop collaborative relationships within a matrixed organization with internal and external partners across marketing strategy, advanced analytics, data integration, product, programming, sales, governance, legal, and other teams to drive CRM initiatives and insights across WDT business units.
• Track and maintain CRM database and help resolve issues.
• Ensure governance standards and legal compliance requirements for all direct marketing are upheld with partners, agencies, and vendors.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 (with potential team growth).
• Act as subject matter expert and communicate performance results, strategy, and make recommendations to internal partners. Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Keep daily tabs on industry trends and serve as a subject matter expert by informing wider team.
Basic Qualifications:
• 7 years of relevant CRM email and/or digital marketing experience.
• 3 years' experience managing a cross functional team with proven aptitude for leadership, fostering open communication and individual development.
• Knowledge of email and digital concepts and processes including but not limited to content, design, production, scheduling and send cadence, audience targeting and segmentation, deliverability, best practices, QA and testing processes, and legal compliance.
• Knowledge of ESP and DMP platforms and various 3rd party vendors i.e. Cheetah Digital, Braze, Adobe Campaign, Movable Ink, Return Path, BlueKai, Salesforce, etc. with experience managing those relationships.
• Ability to see future vision of the DMP/CDP and martech/adtech and push the organization forward.
• Proven ability to synthesize and interpret data and consumer insights into successful engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of multi-channel communication strategies such as social media retargeting, digital, push, and in-app notifications.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email template design, manipulation, and maintenance.
• Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed and/or sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management, analytical skills.
• Self-starter, innovative, proactive, detail oriented, problem solver.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications preferred.
