Manager, Multiplatform Research (Walt Disney Television)
Job Summary:
Whether our viewers are watching our networks live, or on demand via their phones, over the top (OTT) devices like AppleTV and Roku, or on social media, we are trying to understand our content reach.
This role is responsible for leading enablement of measurement across platforms for Walt Disney Television in order for us to understand linear and digital distribution across platforms and brands. This position communicates across teams as a subject matter expert. This includes reporting on the digital landscape, measurement enablement execution management, and create and maintain metadata and measurement best practices/standardization for foundational data quality.
The manager must have project management experience with a strong understanding of data and the digital distribution landscape. Focusing on the foundation of core measurement on digital and linear platforms across multiple networks and brands, the manager will work with product and engineering teams within The Walt Disney Company, measurement partners such as Nielsen and ComScore, and our cable partners (MVPDs and dMVPDs).
Responsibilities:
• Communicate across business units as a subject matter expert for cross platform measurement.
• Analyze and report on the digital landscape.
• Work with measurement partners such as Nielsen and ComScore to define and maintain digital and linear measurement
• Establish and maintain core measurement requirements for internal and external products including measurement best practices, metadata standards, and understanding data sources.
• Work with internal stakeholders and product teams to prioritize and resolve measurement enablement and issues.
• Work with teams to analyze and understand content engagement across distribution points and platforms (linear, mobile, and OTT).
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years digital analytics experience, preferably familiar with engineering and app development cycles.
• Excellent oral and written communication and project organization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, understand timelines, deliverables, and app life cycles across WDT.
• Ability to synthesize and analyze data to garner insights with tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Familiarity with digital content measurement (Adobe Analytics/Omniture, Adobe Heartbeat, Nielsen Digital Content Rating, ComScore Video Metrix) preferred.
Required Education
• BS/BA in Analytics, related fleld, or equivalent work experience
