Job Summary:
Walt Disney Television is seeking a Manager of Finance supporting network ultimates for Twentieth Century Fox Television. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will lead financial analysis and reporting primarily in support of network ultimates and will work closely with the DTS Finance leadership to guide studio executives by providing high-quality, accurate and timely financial information to be used in the strategic decision-making process. The manager must be comfortable working with and presenting to senior executives. This position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills as well as an acute attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Financial analysis for network ultimate tracking and forecasting.
• Prepare network ultimate projections for senior management, including Business Affairs & Production
• Ensure billable items are processed in accordance with deal terms
• Manage tracking of show-specific allowances and bonuses to be covered in the forecast
• Partner with Production Accounting and Business Affairs on open items as needed
• Identify material impacts in advance to adjust forecast and notify teams
• Produce quarterly revenue detail report for Business Affairs
• Manage product integration revenue detail for Participations
• Prepare annual budget for network slate and review with senior management
• Ad hoc analysis as needed
Manage operational responsibilities related to network ultimates
• Accountable for input of all network license fees, reimbursables, deficit reductions in the system
• Ensure that all agreements and cost basis of agreements are documented
• Clarify agreements and resolve inconsistencies
• Review for adjustments from prior years, as needed
• Recommend non-amortized status change on titles with no outstanding issues
Assist with additional Finance department duties, as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. Entertainment industry experience is a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate well with all levels of management
• Must be able to thrive well in an extremely busy and varied environment and meet deadlines
• Strong technical skills: MS Office; Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint. Experience with PeopleSoft is a plus
• Advanced financial modeling skills
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Required Education
• B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related field
