Director, Talent Relations (FX Networks)
Job Summary:
FX is seeking a Director to support the Talent Relations team. Talent Relations is responsible for establishing the talent experience, seeking to build relationships with their creators and actors. Role responsibilities include social publicity and assets, talent outreach for corporate support and large-scale initiatives, VIP guest list management, VIP support for FX executives at events, creating itineraries for talent and working onsite for publicity events and marketing shoots. This role reports to the VP of Talent Relations.
Responsibilities:
• Gift research and execution for start date gifts, wrap gifts, talent birthday gifts and awards gifts.
• Manage VIP guest lists for events and award shows.
• Manage and work important events, festivals and marketing shoots (Upfronts, TCA, Comic Con, FYC Screenings, ATX, etc.).
• Work with the VP of Talent Relations on talent outreach for publicity and marketing campaigns across all FX shows-including the delivery of social assets.
• Partner with the FX Events team on talent guest lists, RSVPs, and manage talent relations logistics for events.
• Collaborate with the FX Publicity teams on cross-communication about shows and active requests for talent.
• Establish best practices across the network for talent travel as it relates to publicity campaigns, events, awards and general talent activities, including working with Travel Coordinator to ensure all talent travel is accurate across shows, assist with hotel blocks and group travel.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services team on estimating and forecasting talent relations expenses for all events, awards, etc.
• Travel for publicity events: premieres, screening, after parties and festivals.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of talent relations experience including events, publicity, agency, studio, streamer and/or network experience
• Ability to interface with all levels of executives and talent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be self-motivated, poised, patient, positive and have superior interpersonal skills
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Able to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with senior executives, talent and media personnel
• Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed to assist with events
Required Education
• Four year college degree, preferably in communications or equivalent work experience
