Assignment Editor, ABC News (WGA)
Job Summary:
The foreign desk assignment editor is responsible for working with foreign teams on editorial and logistical coverage of news stories. This job requires the understanding of foreign stories and knowing which stores perform best on different ABC platforms.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with foreign teams and platforms on all news stories. Responsible for the deployment of resources and personnel for all overseas assignments. This job requires the understanding of foreign stories and knowing which stories perform best on different ABC platforms. Must be able to write and edit stories for the website.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years network news experience
• Be a strong communicator and foreign story advocate with senior producers.
• Needs to have strong people management skills
• Understand logistical difficulties of foreign deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of a foreign languages is a plus
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
