Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
Good Morning America is the number one national network morning show mixing news and entertainment.
Responsibilities:
Interns at Good Morning America perform a variety of duties that are invaluable to the show's success. They play an integral role in the office, both in helping to hold down the fort and to manage the enormous flow of information that comes in every day.
A day in the life…
• Participating on some editorial meetings and in all phases of television production
• Assisting in show production
• Assisting in live segments – audience coordination, runner
• Assisting with general office needs
• Some of the departments you could be working in are studio operations, field and series, booking and social media
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Passion for news stories
• Strong, detail-oriented work ethic, self-motivation and positive attitude
• Willingness to work early mornings or weekends as needed throughout the assignment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Undergraduate students in their junior year, senior year, or recent graduates
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Some experience related to social media including Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
• Must be willing to relocate to the New York City area and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Program Dates:
• Must be available from January to May
• Must be willing to work 40 hours/week, including possible early mornings, nights and weekends
