THE ROLE: VICE PRESIDENT OF PHOTOGRAPHY
A&E Television Networks, LLC seeks a Vice President of Photography in New York, New York to lead the Photography division at A&E Networks to drive the best in class photography across all brands. Specific duties include:
(1) Distinguish strong photographic identity for each A&E Networks' brands;
(2) Help create and evolve photographic brand identity guidelines;
(3) Manage a team of curators and photographers, and roster of talented photographers around the world;
(4) Work with creative department to ensure they adhere to the photographic brand identity guidelines;
(5) Collaborate with Creative Department to concept, develop and present Photographic treatments;
(6) Propose and design production approaches suited best to the creative brief;
(7) Provide Photographic research support for the Editors in Chief;
(8) Research, develop and maintain external vendor relationships;
(9) Ensure all deliverables meet creative brief expectations, are delivered on time and within budget;
(10) Create and Implement structure between Marketing, Social, Digital and PR Photo departments; and
(11) Collaborate with internal partners to supply them with the right photography: Digital, PR, Marketing, Corporate.
YOUR STORY:
• Must have a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Photography, Visual Arts or a related field in the Creative Arts plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a role within either the Photographic, Design or Art industries
• Established vendor relationships and contacts in the photography industry
• Experience managing and working with teams of various sizes in a creative industry
• Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to organize, set and implement priorities while balancing multiple tasks and deadlines in a creative environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop; Bridge; InDesign
• Working knowledge of digital asset management systems and creating creative content for photographic productions including researching purchase of stock and photography talent
• Travel is required globally to company international offices and as required by photoshoots
