OVERVIEW OF JOB
HISTORY is looking for an intern to support both its scripted and unscripted programming departments in the Los Angeles office. Intern will be exposed to the development and production process as it relates to the HISTORY's scripted drama (i.e. Vikings, Project Blue Book) and unscripted series (i.e. Curse of Oak Island, Forged in Fire).
Responsibilities
include:
- Coverage of scripts, books, and other materials
- Providing feedback on HISTORY projects in development and production
- Attendance and participation in weekly development meetings and brainstorms
- Various tasks pertaining to research, casting, competitive tracking, etc. as they arise
- Assisting in communication and process flow of the development, production, and post production of scripted & unscripted series
Skills
and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for history and interest in the scripted and unscripted spaces.
- Candidate must have maturity & discretion as they will have access to competitive information regarding project development and talent
Candidate must be a college undergraduate who is entering their sophomore year in 2020 and preferably have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Student must have interest in the industry and/or a specific area of interest through past work experience, internships, and/or major course of study.
