THE ROLE: Project Manager Multi-Media
The Project Manager, Multi-Media manages and is part of the planning and execution of multimedia solutions and systems working on A+E Networks initiatives and brand/business partner projects across the organization.
He/she acts as the primary liaison over the life-cycle of a project from inception to completion between requesters/partners and various teams within Multi-media and other internal colleagues. She/he provides a combination of Account and Product Management skills which range depending on the nature of the assignment; from project/user requirements, scheduling and tracking deliverables across stakeholders, collaborating and communicating across and within teams and contributors, managing expectations and overseeing outcomes.
They are charged with identifying and escalating challenges and obstacles that surface and, when appropriate, recommending alternate solutions to requestors. They provide Multi-media expertise and recommendations to manage and support the processes necessary in fulfilling project requirements and requests from schedule creation to creative delivery to back-end development to project delivery; when needed for more complex requests, they translate requirements and needs for stakeholders and project teams.
They provide ongoing support for active corporate websites, newsletters, and associated extensions. She/he is accountable for ensuring all parties are furnished with necessary information (assets, schedules/deadlines, communication, feedback) required to complete work successfully.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Project Manager Multi-Media:
• Manages projects for Merchandise, Print Production, and Digital, tracking job numbers, status and team member assignments. Works across and collaborates with colleagues when needed to bring all talents and functions together to complete a project successfully.
• Understands the account/project management process, workflow, scheduling, lead internal and client communications and guide project development needs.
• Multimedia Account Management: provide tactical process support for internal and external A+E Networks Corporate multimedia brand projects and initiatives (Corp Communications, CSR, Ad Sales, Distribution, International, HR, L&BA, Finance, Executive Management Team, etc.) as well as individual brands (A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime, LMN, FYI, etc.) by leveraging solutions, access to assets, systems, institutional knowledge, colleagues and established relationships across the organization.
• Oversees content management production for A+E Networks corporate websites and newsletters.
• Stays abreast of industry best practices for print and digital production and well-versed in our own brand guidelines; can speak intelligently to intuitive, interactive multi-media solution and can leverage insights and team capabilities when working on projects, particularly for business divisions.
• Builds solid relationships with partners and demonstrates an understanding of their businesses, priorities, and dynamics to help them be successful.
YOUR STORY:
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering projects on time (and budget when applicable)
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions and timelines.
• Success and experience prioritizing workload (for self and others who don't necessarily work directly for him/her); and ability to manage expectations.
• Adept at distilling complex and intimidating concepts by making them easy-to-understand without being patronizing or condescending in the process.
• Well-versed and detail-oriented thinker, day-to-day manager of projects and workflow.
• Working knowledge of CMS systems (e.g., WordPress, etc.) and project management software. Experience with Airtable a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels; good listener.
• High level of discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness and personal initiative.
• Strong degree of passion and interest in the field and a willingness to learn.
