THE ROLE: Production Support Engineer
This position will be responsible for the following duties during the PM shift in support of our Production, Print Graphics, Motion Graphics and Post Production Departments:
Provide technical (hardware, software, and networking) support for NY based Production & Post Production facility including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of end user hardware, software and related peripherals. Systems include Avid Media Composer, Protools, and Media Central Interplay, as well as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Premiere and Aftereffects with associated plugins. Telestream Vantage transcoding and Spectra Logic archive. This position will also be responsible for efficient operation, uptime and overall stability of the technical environment. Hands on operational support and troubleshooting are a necessity. On request, this role will also provide technical support to users residing in multiple locations.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
System Maintenance & Deployment: Provide system installation and updates in both Production and Post Production infrastructure including but not limited to: Workstation imaging, installation & testing. Network connections, patching & documentation. Cable fabrication & installation, equipment installation, documentation creation & revision.
Production Support: Support Production users in Marketing, Programming and Print Graphics as it relates to the systems which encompass servers, workstations, storage, networks, and major applications as well as plug-ins in that they are functioning accordingly. Employ corrective measures to mitigate any technical problems both internal and external, as these systems play a significant role in On-Air promos delivery and timely response and resolution is required
Video Production Equipment Support: Support Production Operations as well as outside Production Companies in both live and recorded productions for both content creation as well as Corporate In-House events. Video & audio production systems require signal flow troubleshooting as well as configuration and component replacement to mitigate down time.

On our team, you will have the opportunity to support all aspects of the Media Supply chain, from acquisition through transformation to distribution. You will have exposure to all the inner workings of what it takes to get our content out the door and on the eyes of the world. You will collaborate with all technical and operations teams throughout our technical facilities as you contribute to fulfilling the wide-ranging responsibilities of the Engineering Department. YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 2 Years of College
• 3-5 years in Production Post-production environment.
• Experience with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft Office, Apple OSX, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Server, MS Active Directory.
• Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of SMPTE standards for video, audio, and graphics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under deadlines, ability to complete projects in a multi-tasking environment.
• Must have a great attitude and enjoy customer service
Desired:
• BS in Engineering or Media Related Communications
• Avid Protools, Media Central/Interplay, Nexis/ISIS, Davinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects plug ins, Cinema 4D Graphic rendering. Autodesk Arnold,
• Dell EMC Isilon, Telestream Vantage Transcoding, Archiware Presstore & Spectra BlackPearl HSM's, Cisco Networking, PaloAlto Firewall, VMWare, Signiant, Aspera, and jamf Casper
• 5-7 years in Production Post-production environment.
