Position Summary:
• Responsible for planning and executing all aspects of A E Networks non-linear promotional strategy while being in lock-step with every aspect of linear promo planning.
• Develop more targeted promotional plans running across all our owned multiplatform assets to better maximize our non-linear marketing inventory more effectively.
• Handle the linear scheduling of the fyi network.
Position Responsibilities
Multi-platform Planning:
• Create multiplatform plans for TVE and VOD for 5 networks based off of corporate priorities (A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN and fyi)
• Using quarterly campaign outlines from Director of Multiplatform Scheduling, each month recommend the specific targets and date changes for every campaign running on A E Networks
• Recommend ancillary promotions beyond programming- ex. Lifetime Movie Club, History Vault, Bring It! Tour, Alien Con, Sweepstakes
• Review recommendations with Director and adjust as necessary
• Lay out all detailed TVE and VOD grids for each net, including campaign show targeting and weighting
• Generate a list of all creative needed for each network and work with Production Management to ensure all assets are delivered on time (this requires a high amount of back and forth and coordination)
• Work with MPX system and Stamford Digital Scheduling team to re-process all creative files into proper files for Non-linear air
• Deliver monthly plans to Digital Ad Operations team before the start of each new month and each time that a new creative must be added- give clear direction on priority changes and updates to be made (have a general understanding of how scheduling in the Freewheel system works)
• Adjust plans and creative any time Programming or Promo changes due to new premieres, show removal, time changes, revised assets, etc.
• Perform post-analysis as needed and requested by Director.
• Regularly view A E Networks platforms to ensure correct promos are running
• Analyze competitive networks TVE and VOD services to ensure we are staying ahead of the market and are aware of new strategies
• Recommend Additional Promotional Strategies on Non-linear
• Devise ''stitching'' plans to give our viewers sneaks and extra looks at our upcoming key shows
• Work with Multiplatform Program Scheduling to form cohesive plans
• Request any assets needed for these strategies from Creative teams
• Outline plans in database for Digital Scheduling
• Brainstorm new ideas to attract non-linear viewers- ex. C3 Catch up promotions, First Impression Promotions, etc.
• Oversee tagged static ads on our owned websites
• Devise monthly plans for each network to rotate in priority promotional campaigns
• Request and collect creative for these campaigns from Production team
• Manage Static Ad Grid with Digital Ad Operations
• Manage the On Hold Calendar for all of A E Networks
• Plan monthly priority promotions on A E Networks On hold loop
• Coordinate which promotions work for audio with Production Management
• Regularly check in to ensure promotions have been updated and loop contains correct tune-in
• Attend weekly Marketing Deliverables Meeting and Bi-weekly Program Scheduling Meetings for all Nets to be in the know regarding upcoming changes and Creative
• Have an understanding of when all assets are delivering for air or may be delayed in order to re-adjust on multiplatform
fyi Linear Planning:
• Create each week's plan in GRiPit system using GRP targets defined by Director in Quarterly Planner
• Build and format all primary, secondary and streaming logs for fyi network
• Format logs in Wide Orbit as needed
• Add all materials with rules into GRiPit
• Adjust length and day weight rules as necessary in GRiPit to be set up for best optimization in system
• Finalize logs in Wide Orbit
• Request all necessary creative from fyi Production and enter assets into OAP system and Mission Control
• Make all after hour changes as necessary for fyi logs
Qualification Requirements
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience (including internships) preferably in a multi-platform capacity (TVE/VOD)
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication & organization skills
