THE ROLE: MANAGER, PRODUCTION RIGHTS (Temporary) As a key member of the Six West Media group and Category 6 Media group, you will work directly with the creative, production management, and post-production teams who are creating unscripted content. Your responsibility will be to partner with those teams and manage the procedures surrounding obtaining rights and meeting contractual obligations. With direction from your manager you will: • Review and provide initial guidance on all incoming agreements, including but not limited to appearance, location, and materials releases, licenses, talent, vendor, and work for hire agreements. • Escalate sensitive production matters to the appropriate party to get quick, accurate directions for the producing teams during all phases of production (development, production, and post-production). • Review and maintain list of all contractual obligations for each program. • Traffic cuts to the appropriate parties within the legal/risk, S&P, and Ad Sales groups. • Maintain accurate, accessible status documents to track legal questions, cut notes, and restrictions for each program. • Manage communications between the legal department and producing teams – educate the producing team about Six West/Cat 6's legal standards and advocate for the show's creative needs with the appropriate legal contact. Skills and Competencies: • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Extremely detail-oriented and able to multitask/handle many projects at once in a team-oriented environment. • Flexible, willing to adapt and develop new skills to meet unique production needs. Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
