The Manager, Product Development & Operations oversees the deployment of A E content to distribution partners' TV Everywhere and OTT platforms. This person makes sure we feature content on partner websites and apps in an efficient manner that is consistent with A E Networks' Distribution, Ad Sales and Marketing objectives.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operations – Oversee creation of monthly schedules, metadata and other deliverables for A E content delivery efforts. Identify best practices and eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies in monthly workflows. Collaborate with internal production stakeholders to improve content management systems, communication tools and other tactics to aid in publishing large menu of on-demand assets.
Partner Management – Build and maintain relationships with distribution partners' editorial contacts to convey ongoing programming highlights and ensure content is storefronted in an appropriate manner. Drive continued growth of viewership for our content on partners' platforms.
Contract Compliance – Monitor TVE/OTT fulfillment to ensure business practices are consistent with terms of agreements with vendors and clients.
Partner Onboarding – Coordinate launch of fulfillment efforts for TV Everywhere and OTT deliverables. Assist Ad Sales with coordination of dynamic ad insertion (DAI) implementations on distributors' sites and apps and contribute to growth of off-domain revenue. Consult with internal stakeholders and ensure fulfillment arrangements are consistent with A E capabilities and resources.
O&O Product Development & Enhancement – Partner with Digital Media to evaluate best practices for authenticating MVPD subscribers on A E sites/apps. Assist with onboarding of new affiliates as they undertake integration efforts for authentication on A E sites and apps.
Business Development – Work with supervisor to pursue additional revenue generation through the launch of new products and services. Research opportunities, create business cases and pitch proposals to other members of the department.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
As part of the Distribution arm of A E, you'll gain a 360-degree view of how our content gets to the viewer. Through the Sales team, you'll learn about the contractual relationships A E has with our multichannel and digital video programming distributors (M/DMVPDs) – and how to close that deal! In Distribution Marketing, you'll brainstorm new and innovative ways to promote our content across Set-top-box, TV Everywhere and Over-the-top platforms. In the Operations group you'll get the behind-the-scenes look at mission-critical tasks around technical support, contract management and compliance and data integrity and analysis. And finally, through the Product Development team you'll gain an unique understanding of how we optimize content scheduling and delivery across the a rapidly changing media landscape.
YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• College degree required.
• Minimum 5-years' experience in project or product management within the television/cable industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Digital media experience and general familiarity with VOD or TV Everywhere markets preferred.
• Knowledge of digital asset management tools a plus.
