THE ROLE: Fulfillment Technician (Temporary)
A E Networks Production Services Department is seeking a Digital Encoder in Stamford, CT production facility.
This position is for a temporary term. Flexibility for nights & weekends are required.
In the Fulfillment Technician, Content Distribution Services role, you will join a team of a team of highly motivated business professionals to perform the encoding, media preparation, quality control, packaging & delivery requirements in support of digital fulfillment of A E Networks' programming across global platforms and high profile digital partners, including AVOD, Video-On-Demand, TV Everywhere, OTT, SVOD, Brand Sites and cross-platforms apps and devices both domestically and internationally.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Responsible for the baseband ingest (where appropriate), file registration and transcoding of A E programming content, advertising & promotional materials into the required mezzanine and streaming file formats for non-linear distribution to client platforms; both internally and externally.
• Responsible for the preparation & posting of ancillary video package media assets and information, such as time-code breaks information for Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), video screen grabs & external closed-caption files.
• Responsible for the pre-delivery technical Q/C of all Video-On-Demand media assets in preparation for digital distribution.
• Responsible for Dynamic Ad Insertion preparation & delivery for Video-On-Demand
• Responsible for the timely and accurate packaging & delivery of all digital media assets and their respective XML metadata for AETN content to our various digital distribution channels.

YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 4 year bachelor's degree in TV/Film or Media Related Program and/or 2-4 years related job experience in the Media Industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
• Strong Knowledge of Broadcast video formats & codecs.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment effectively.
• Experience with XML metadata and video encoding technologies a plus.
• Experience with digital delivery protocols & technologies a plus (FTP, SFTP, Aspera, Signiant)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Passion for new technology and a desire to work in the entertainment/media industry.
• Positive attitude with a desire to excel in a team-oriented culture.
